I have no idea if the pic is real, fake, doctored, or what (it doesn't look fake or doctored). But that is one big snake!!

Hey GC - I have seen a big booty copperhead run off; leaving his head next to my joe blade on the ground.
ever tried to pick up a snake right after it was killed? me neither (you gotta be crazy to get that close to 'em) but I have seen folks to it. they will sho 'nuff keep moving long after they are dead!

i can totally believe that picture. I used to have one taken over around port gibson of a black man my grandpaw knew. It was taken in the 60's or 70's, before they had photoshop and all the other stuff to ''doctor'' the pictures. The man was at least five and a half feet tall, and had the snake draped over his shoulders with the tail and head touching the ground.

I don't know if that one is real or not but I do know that about 15 or 20 years ago some guys in the national guard killed one in the barracks at Camp Shelby that weighed 80 lbs. I saw a picture and the snake was as big around in the middle as my calf and I'm pushing 270 lbs at 6 feet tall. That was one fat rattler.

Snake's big, but he's not that big. He's got it pushed up relatively close to the camera. Looks like some of the fish pictures you see in magazines. You know the ones I'm talking about--the ones where your eyes are drawn to the size of the fish and you go "Wow!" and then you notice the size of the guy's thumb as he's lipping the fish. Five-pound thumb. Same effect here IMHO.
