Re: Hughes NET
I suppose the only downside is during inclement weather, you may not get signal.
Is cable available?

Re: Hughes NET
Do not get hughesnet. I am telling you, go with wild blue. Hughes puts a daily download limit on you. The only reason I got rid of wild blue is I got DSL. Wild blue is through dish network.

Re: Hughes NET
I went from bellsouth dsl to hughes due to a move to the country. Boy, you're sure gonna miss that dsl.
Maybe wildblue is better, don't know. Some days I'm no faster than dial-up.

you did put in the plug, right?

Must be goin to smith county?
Wildblue puts a monthly limit on you but i have never exceeded it.
Verizion makes wireless card that you can connect up to 5 computers too at the same time.

Re: Hughes NET
Check on cellular signal in the area you will be in, if you have good 3g service it will be almost as fast as dsl to get a wireless card, atat and verizion have them I know I have used both and Verizion it MUCH better than At&t.
Re: Hughes NET
VERY poor cell service.
After meeting with th engineer this morning he seems to think we can have dsl. Fingaz and toes are crossed!!!

Dont use them. I had wind damage to my house and it knocked down the satellite and now they wont me to pay 700 to repair it. I leased the equipment because they said and paid a insurance for damage to equipment and now they are saying I owe this amount. I have since cancelled my service.
