sounds like they had one hell of a duck killin, probably was fun before they got busted. . But thats what they get. You dont take advantage of the ducks, guess they will just learn the hard way.

Actually the lease is no longer available. The duck hole has been leased to a group from bama, 2 groups from jackson, a group from Membabwe, and subleased to 3 Georgia hunters. The other 10 months of the year the land is leased to a band of gypsies for a campground. If anyone is interested in the mineral rights or leasing it to duck hunt, call flyway outfitters.

Mr. Green Jeans checked us and said that the guys were 56 ducks over the limit. He would not say where or how many hunters, just that it was Federal Boys who caught them. He said it was a $50,000 per duck fine over the limit. Pretty sure I heard him correctly. It seems high to me, but he would know better than I would.

From a source that was there is that they got caught with 7 limits over for the day, but people had been hunting it days prior and not bringing out all the ducks. Those people got steep fines for being over the possession limits but they weren't part of the 7 limits over for the day. Some individuals got hit hard others haven't found out yet. He said they took all information from him and he's expecting something in the mail. They didn't do anything to him that day.

Wingman,

tell us what happens when a couple of guys shoot limits for 2 days, breast them out, and shoot another limit between the same group?

Does each person get a ticket for the same amout over the limit?

From what I have seen its not a set amount there is a big gap in min and max. The ones I saw seemed to go by status. Kinda like hospital if they see you dont have anything and owe everyone you dont pay much, they take what they can get. Same situation you have good credit and pay bills you fixin to get yours plus what the aggin didn't pay.
