Google boat blind. I did and have several plans for homemade blinds the other day.

There is a guy on here from Pearl that makes them for your boat and are supposed to be just like the Avery Quick Set, but I have not been able to reach him the last couple of days. His price is $175 for 14' and $200 for 16', I think.

If you want the best blind around. Bring it to Bert Flemming in Greenwood.
He will build it to fit how you want. They are unbeatable.
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)

I agree He stands behind his work...I broke a mount 4 years later and He fixed it on the spot at no charge.

+1
Bert is a board member and builds a blind that will last generations. IMO, the best Avery style blind made.

I have been hunting out of one all year. Several years ago, on Sardis Lake, a lot of hunters used them. I got 2-20 foot long thin wall casing pipe (18" dia.)(closing the ends) welded a frame around it, one is open for the boat and the other end is for the dog to stand. I put 3 runners across the middle and used 2 " pipe, and I put 4" natural gas plastic pipe on the outside of the runner so the boat will be easy to drive upon the runners. The boat sits a little out of the water and 3 people are able to stand up and shoot. We wrap the hole thing in dog wire then cut out holes to where the boat seats are. Camo the outside them cut limbs and attached them to the blind. We wrap burlap around the inside to cut the wind. It has been great. I added 2 joints of 12" class 200 pipe so it would sit up better. The only problem is the wind. once you set the blind, it's not something you want to move every day. Someone told me to contact the Corp. of Engineers at these lakes (Sardis, Enid & Greneda) they collect them off the lakes every year and you may be able to get one free.

We have gotten the limit 7 or 8 times this season and you are hid. I also built a platform for my robo duck. used a turkey seat(intertube) put a 2'x' 3/4 plywood on top, cut hole for the stand and bolted it down, put a 5 lb under the stand so it would stay balanced then another weight to the bottom. this also works good

good Luck
