Re: Things found in the woods....
last year i leased 125 acres behind my dads house, and i was walking through a pine plantation that was fairly open, bout ready to be thinned out. i was in a hurry and headed back home when something silver caught my eye. i went over and peeled back the 6" of straw and dirt and picked an old rusty machete with a silver handle its about 16-18" long. cleaned up the blade to find that it was still in decent shape. i tried to file it sharp but the blade was harder than any file i owned. i sharpened it with a grinder. it is the best machete i have ever used. i can cut down 1 1/2" sapling with one swing.
It got a date stamped on it. like 1960 something gotta be homemade.

Found 2 meth labs in last two years. Sucks when you find one because it takes about half a day to get it cleaned up.

A guy I worked with inherited some land from an elder relative and I went out there to help him scout it out as he was going to let me put up a few stands and hunt as he is not a hunter himself. Anyways, we found a huge abandoned meth lab out in the woods, we called it in and while we were looking around waiting on the sheriff (small town) to come out, we found a TON of rusty .45 brass and a handful of rusty 12 gauge shells as well, it looked like there was a shootout at the plant or something.
At my farm in Neshoba which has been in my family for a long time we found an old 1940s Ford in the middle of the deep woods that looks like it had been shot up with a tommy gun or something, had probably 30 bullet holes going through the two driver's side doors, looks as if it was a machine gun that did it as the bullets fall in a fairly smooth line going left to right a few times from the middle of the door up. Looks like someone sprayed some bullets at whoever was in the car and then the car was towed out into the middle of the woods. An old highway use to run through part of our property and the car is about a quarter of a mile from the old highway in the woods.
Also found the remains of an old shotgun in the ground in one of our fields when we were discing up the ground to plant some food plots

We inherted some land like 3 or 4 years ago and I went out to scout it and found a bunch of Nigerians living in tents back there... I'm talking like they had a city set up... probably 50 of em.
They had like rain drums and all kinds of stuff set up...one of the teenage children worked at Waffle House...why? I don't know? but I found his uniform hanging on they're drying rack... THEY WERE WASHING STUFF IN THE CREEK...
Well I went back to my truck for my extra clips before I walked down there to kindly tell them that it was the 21st century and they had to move they're village somewhere else. They claimed that they had homestead the land...what somone failed to tell them is that in order to homestead you must be paying the taxes.
Not to mention their medicine man was no match for my attorney...

Found an old outhouse last week. Looks like there was a cabin several yards from it. Nothing left but bricks. A couple of days later found an old bench cemented in the ground right in the middle of the woods. Figure there must've been a old hiking trail there at one time.
