guess the best thing i found was an old JD busting plow , but i have found the bottom part of a weather balloon, a couple old stills(while in BAMA)
several indian grind rocks (in BAMA and MS), a couple were matched sets, found a bunch of indian marbles, and arrow heads, found a buck knife with its sheath, and a pair of yellow lensed ray ban shooting glasses. a dozen pintail decoys half were still good, and are now in my bag, an ole MSU cowbell(on Noxubee), and the rock base for what i later found out to be an ole Griss Mill (used to be the NE corner of my dads property, but no one could ever find it so he and the adjoining land owner made some kinda deal and set a surveyed boundry) found a wacky tabacy patch in the woods between HWY 6 and sardis lake, lots of old beer bottles/cans, even some old glass clorox bottles. found a couple of really nice sheds antlers and a bunch of lil ones, a couple of climbers that had either been lost or left in a hurry. a really nice box stand and food plot that had been placed on an old guys place that he knew nothing about. thats bout all i can think of that might be interesting

Nothing. My father, who retired a colonel in the MS ANG, figured it was a jet out of Columbous AFB but nobody could figure out where it came from. This was about 18 years ago. I imagine whats left is covered up in a few feet of sand today.

I was coon hunting on the Cache River NWR a few weeks ago and found a John Deere 4400 combine complete with the header out in the woods. It was about a half mile from any field with no roads to it. No telling how long it's been there to let the timber grow up around it like that.

So far, bowling balls, people scrumping and pot gardens are the three most common things found in the woods.

sounds like everybody is hunting in Alabama :D
I would normally say Arkansas, but people don't seem to touque on AR people too bad on here.

Found/saw a bowling ball on the little sunflower this weekend, have never heard or seen such found until I read this thread last week :?:

When i was a little kid, 2nd or 3rd grade we had a place we hunted that had several big mounds of dirt about the size of hmmmm a casket. My brother and I went to investigate these mounds only to find those temporary grave markers that the cemetary uses, you know the kind that have the slide in letters and numbers but they had been knocked off. To top that one night riding the fourwheeler out of the woods it died on the trail right beside those graves still remember how scared i was.

Was on the tenn tom and found a huge stuffed bear floating down thru the flood control area, with a bra on it... Thats some kind of wierd fetish

Lots of old medicine and whiskey bottles.

At another camp they found a suitcase full of womens clothing and a had a bad smell of something dead. They called the sheriffs office and police and whole nine yards out there and they never could find the origin of the smell. We named that area of the woods the suitcase stand and I never hunted there.

Found a huge oak with names carved in it from 1800's

I actually TODAY found an old scale. Yeah, the kind you stand on at the doctor's office! WTH? In the middle of the woods? Got to be the strangest thing I've found in recent memory.

sound like paraphanalia to me. dope is weighed and sold by the pound in big businesses if you can call it that, i would imagine shine can be weighed as well and sold by the gallon if they are doing conversions???????????? could be wrong, but it makes logical sense to me considering all the pot and shine discussed in this thread

have to remember that back in the day when that scale was there may not have been woods, may have had a road or trail along side and it got dropped off. Alot can change.

Yeah I have actually seen a place in the woods that looked like a city used to be there...but it had to be from an era not long ago. You could see the streets layed out and sometimes see the curbs running along beside it...it was really freaky feeling back there. Now I guess it could be compared to a neighborhood development that was platted out, and lost funding, and the tress took the freshly scraped dirt back, but back then, it was wierd.
