A band and a Canada always makes a mediocre hunt into a banner hunt!!!!
My partner got the band, I got the Canada.

Negative.
Re: 09-10 Duck Season Pic's
one of these days I'll go hunt a palce where I can kill a few mallards. Last time I killed a greenhead was back in '02. One hunt last year a guy came back to camp with one, but it wasn't me.

Jeff,
I have a Chapman pirogue just like yours but haven't used it much the past few seasons since our water has been so deep. I noticed you have a pickle bucket in your boat. You don't sit on that to paddle, do you? I have wondered about doing something similar to that since it seems my gets "tippier" if I am just sitting on boat's seat and not elevated somewhat. Please let know when you get a chance.

No I don't use that for paddling, that is a "Bidon" or french for shell bucket. I stick all of my gear in there and sit on it when I am in the blind most of the time. I use them so much I don't have the tippy problem. I stand up in them probably 90% of the time and push pole rather than paddle. It just takes some practice and you can do it. However you hit the nail on the head the higher you go the higher the center of gravity and hence more "tippy".
