hunting superstitions

Daddy and uncle Tim have got some WEIRD things they do before and during a hunt. Like daddy, he has to wear 3 socks on his left foot and 0 on his right foot. I have no idea why but he always does it.

Uncle Tim wears ear plugs and he's Deaf!! Uncle time also has to cycle shells from the magazine to the chamber throughout the hunt. He claims he did this in Vietnam and it would attract them skinny eyed people to him.


Do ya'll have weird stuff like this or is it just my family?

My Daddy thought it was bad luck to turn around and get something that you forgot...decoys, gloves, shells, etc.

Obviously, OneShot has that same disposition! :wink:

My Uncle would't go out to the woods with out his Skunk Skreen.. He used so much of that stuff when I was a kid that I actually like the smell of skunk now.. :? :?

I always take a flask of bourbon and before I take a drink on opening morning I give a little to Mother Nature.. :lol: :lol: :lol:
