wolfe lake and broad lake

are these lakes open to public for duck hunting are not? ive heard yes and no on the 2. got a buddy that hunts the yazoo river and says u cant hunt em so he hunts the river. just tryin to get some facts

They are closed to hunting, but open to public fishing.

Who closes them to hunting? They are public waters since you have free public access and you can hunt and fish public waters, the law makes no distinction between the two. I would think you can hunt it. But what do it Know.

We killed 4 limits on them yesterday morning hunting the north side of wolfe lake I would definetly suggest hunting them. It was a very nice hunt.

if you can access it, you can hunt it. the only boat ramp is about a 5-6 mile boat ride and the hunting sux. your friend is right, stay close to the river. the water is falling faster than ive ever seen from broad lake right now. we live on the lake so its easier for us to access it. i sat on the porch sat morning and 2 groups were down from the house and never fired a shot. its just not what it used to be and when the water falls out its hard hunting. better have a mud motor
