Hungry In Indianola

Postby waterbound » Sat Nov 21, 2009 7:54 am

Traveling to Indianola Thanksgiving weekend. After all the turkey and fried chicken is gone, what are my dining options. I heard that the Bourbon Mall is no more, any other suggestions............thanks in advance.

i haven't been there, but there's a new place called Nola that I heard is pretty good. You've always got Lost Dog if you want pizza.

You got several choices of fast food joints on 82. One pretty good one is on the west end of town on the south side. Can't remember the namet but they have great food and good atmosphere! The other is downtown called the Crown! Them ladies will treat u right!

Lost Dog Pizza or Pea Soups

Or make the journey to the Bourbon Mall

Nola's has good food, but the service and long wait sucks big time!!! (upwards of 2 hours, even when they're not crowded)....Peasoup's has pretty good short order food, but they are bad stingy with their portions....Crown is just too feminine to suit my taste....Lost Dog is A-1, and has lots more than just pizza.
If you really want good food and lots of it, make the 5 minute trip down to Inverness and the Hometown Restaurant.

Sorry you have had long waits at Nola. I have never had a long wait at Nolas and I have been quite a few times. The food is very good.

Second the Hometown and Lost Dog.

There is a new place in Leland called Vince's that I am trying tonight. Will let you know.

4 mozerella cheese sticks, hamburger steak plate and either strawberry or vanilla dr. pepper was always my pre-game meal after the pep rally on fridays.

steak finger basket, shrimp oyster or catfish po-boys, bbq beef sandwich, burgers, fried oysters, soft-serve ice cream, malts & shakes....its all good at pea soup's lott-a-freeze!!
