Delta Duck is your 2001 State Champion

Congratulations to MSDUCKS own DeltaDuck for winning the 2001 MS Sporting Clays Championship. DD shot an 88, on a challenging course, beating a bunch of master class and AA, etc. shooters. I won't tell 'em how much cash you took home! I was 15th overall, (unless I misscounted) and won my piddling little class (Gee DD, take away stand No. 6 and I had a shot, I gotta practice long curling trap shots in the worst way, LOL)

The folks at Whitetail Ridge did a great job and threw quality targets that were hitable if you read them right, and very missable if you didn't. Mostly true pairs, which kept scores down a little. It was nice to see a little higher quality target setting finally make it to Mississippi.

It was a great shoot with good targets and good people. I don't feel as bad about missing the Msducks shoot and cook out after winning. I hope everything went well at the cook out.

If anyone is interested in shooting a sporting clays tourn. There is one next Sat. 21st at the Willows Sporting Clays at the Grand Casino in Tunica. North Mississippi Waterfowlers are putting the shoot on.
I would like to invite all of ya'll to come join us.

You should go ahead and declare up to Master class on known ability.

Bring Scooter and ya'll shoot in the 3 man Duck Flush tourn. The team winner's are going to get a duck hunt and rooms.
The Duck Flush is 75 incoming clays in less than 2 min. That will get your barrel hot, but so much fun.

LOL, the last time I shot that duck flush was at the DU Mid South shoot. I ended up giving all 3 of us a shower by letting one low incomer sneak up and get to close and busting it about 5 feet from the stand 2 feet off the water. Mud and water and empty hulls went everywhere. We looked like something out of "survivor." I made ZERO friends on that deal, I tell ya. [img]images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]
