RNT Alpha 2

Postby wap » Wed Nov 11, 2009 11:36 am

Anybody tried one of these? I am not big on double reeds but was thinking about getting one. Anywhere in north MS that might have one?

I tried one out at Mack's a few weeks ago at their fall festival. I blow all single reeds but this little call is sweet. I would not mind having one done in wood. I spoke with John Stephens for awhile about the call and he said that they would probably offer wood next year. Don't believe there is anywhere around the Tupelo area that carries high end RNT calls. Bass Pro in Memphis would probably be the closest unless I've missed somewhere.

OK Thanks. I was in Jonesboro this weekend and they were up there at a show at a hunting store. They had it for 100 bucks, should have bought it.

its a double reed and a double reed is a double reed IMO .... not much versatility but it is a VERY good sounding call.....

with that said I dont think I would pay $100 for one.....

I love the Alpha 2! And it is a very versatile double reed. Its a very easy call to blow and doesn't take a lot of air.

Some Alpha II's sound GREAT, and some sound like any old double reed. Don't understand why? :?:
