Lifetime Duck kills

Postby gobama123 » Fri Nov 06, 2009 10:35 pm

In your Lifetime have you killed all 10 of these Ducks (drake or hen)?
In Mississippi?
Mallard and Gadwall were left off, Any other ducks that you have killed regularly?
If you haven't killed all 10 of these, how many have you killed?
Which is your Favorite, or the one that you have killed the most of?

Season is 3 weeks away, talking about this kind of stuff keeps me from going crazy.

8 out of 10.
no cans or blacks for me, but they are both high on my wish list.
as far as most kills (from your list) i'd have to say the bull sprig or GWT

Damn, i thought I had that one

Is that buddy of yours tryin to blow that call or make love to it?

Glad to see some one else is still up and as bored as I am.

8-10 for me as well.
Never shot a redhead nor a shoveler.
I know,... probably 40 shovelers have been shot from blinds that I was in, but i was either not one of the shooters, or just missed.
Gadwalls are by far the ducks that I have killed the most of, with woodies and mallards behind that.

That is a Ruddy duck (in sumer plumage). In winter they are just small brown ducks that buzz in kinda low in small groups.
They hang out with both puddle ducks and with divers, but almost always on Big water.
They winter all along the Tennessee and Mississippi rivers.

Ruddys are in the middle. Winter plumage.
They are just as much fun to shoot as any other duck. And harder to hit than you think.

no redhead and no pintail
Surely the longer a man duck hunts the wealthier he becomes in experience,in reminiscence,in love of nature,if he goes out with the harvest of a quiet eye, free from the plague of himself

Never killed a Ruddy or a Canvas, and the closest to a black I have is a mallard/black hybrid.
