HEHEHE, ol' Bill seems to be just spoutin' off that Ol' French. I aint never mastered it and so I aint no help on the duck translation. I know Dos Gris and peaul deau, that's bout it. Oh and Bateau. Bill has obviously been in Delacroix for the proper amount of time to really bond with the birds. Way to go Bill!HEHE

Teal babies dont even go in the freezer, right on the grill. Widgeons & pins are next. Mallards & clean gaddies can't tell the difference, **** eating gads that get here early and eat scum stink the house up. Woodies got a taste to me, not my favorite depsite being popular eating. Ate a canvasback once, I wont shoot another unless hes a mounter. Only cleaned half a black jack, threw dat sumbitch away after 15 minutes, Id rather skin a 4 year old squirrel. travis

1. Teal...But don't kill too many of them around here

2. Woodie...But the difference in taste that makes the #2 instead of #3 is not worth the trouble of cleaning the dang things...I don't even shoot at them

Beig from Houma, LA I was taught to eat anything once. Espivcially if it was gonna eat me!

1. Teal
2. Woody
3. Spoony (From a rice or bean field)
4. Mallard
4. Grey
5. Pintail
6. Pool due' smother them down and have over rice with a dark roux! If you hunt with me and they are around a want 15 a per hunter when the actions slows. Y'all are making this round boy hungry. I got to go warm up some duck and cajun sausage gumbe in the fridge. [img]images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

Wingman I think you need to make a little trip to south LA and broaden your horizons a little. Jeff and I would show you a real good time. But you gotta eat everthing you shoot now. HA HA HA!!!!

I call any fast flying black diver (ringneck or scaup) a blackjack. Dos gris is a scaup and poule deau is a forked toe water chicken that doesn't taste like chicken at all. You can sure shoot the tar out of them. 15 is the limit I think. If i Kill it I eat it regardless. Except that merganeser I shot last year.
