Pete,
I'm kinda partial to the BFG A/T KO's. They seem to be a little bit pricey though. I've had several sets over the years. With adequate air pressure and consistant tire rotations, I usually get 70,000 + miles out of a set. My last set was bought in 07' at Big 10 Tire in Mobile. They had the best price at the time. Total cost was $940. Give them a call. The one I went to was near the corner of Airport and Shillinger Rd. (251) 639-9680.
I have no experience with the Firestone Destinations A/T's you mentioned, but they seem like a good quality tire for what you're looking for. Good Luck with your search. If I can help anymore, let me know.

How's the tennis game coming along? ....Probably hadn't had much time with school and huntin season coming up. Looks like my hunting will be "slim pickings" this year. The wife got "laid-off" at her job a few weeks ago. Had to kinda re-prioritize our budget for the near future. Hoping to make a few "budget" hunts, though. No leases or clubs this year.
P.S. If you need a huntin partner to help you with the long drive (from Lower Alabama) or to help out with any other expenses that may incur..(i.e...gas,food,..etc.). Let me know.....would be glad to join you and help out.

I've got about 90k miles on my BFG AT KOs with tread to spare. Unfortunately price is going to keep me from replacing them with the same thing. They are about $150 more than anything else I have priced.

I have the toyo a/t on my titan and have about 45k on them with probably 50% tread left. They were the best price I could find in a 17" 285. They do good enough in slick stuff and make zere noise and I rotated them probably twice.

Maxxis buckshot mudder is the sole reason I buy quality tires. I had a set on my wrangler and those tires cleaned them selves like a 2 year old changes his own diaper. Awful tires. Hated them. They were cheap for sure. I sold those tires to someone with half the tread.

Did some research and bought bfg's mt's. I have enjoyed them. I got into rock crawling for a couple years. This influenced my decision even more.

I had a of Firestone Destination A/T's on my first truck and they didnt pull worth a crap if I got in wet grass or and much less mud, they would spin big time pulling a boat out of the water, and didnt pull a trailer good at all. My new Terra Grapplers have pleasantly surprised me how well they pull a trailer in the mud and in the mud in general. Especially for an A/T(I dont mud ride, this is just hunting and working at the camp so dont expect them to pull like a true mud tire or super swamper)

The Terra Grapplers do not make any noise at all! They are smooth on the highway and my wife doesnt mind riding in my truck since I got these tires. She wouldnt go anywhere in my truck when I had the buckshots on it. Plus these tires look a hell of a lot better.

Trust me you will not regret the Terra Grapplers...Mine are showing absolutely no wear and i have no idea how many miles are on them, I just keep them aired up and rotated.

I just put a set of destination a/t on my truck, hell they were 300 dollars cheaper an I think they pull fine. My cousin has a set of nitto high dollar tires on his z, I can go anywhere he goes, just saying.
Ain't nothin' gonna stop me now but my innate inability to progress conganacious
