I for one will not use Big Buck after reading this thread: http://www.mdwfp.com/FORUMS/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=71966
I agree the dude shouldn't have waited until the last minute to get his arrows fletched, but to go on a public forum and chide your customers for doing so, and make it out to be their fault?

I would have to agree about Eddie Buckner in Vicksburg. The level of customer service has gone way up there since he bought the store, and pretty good prices too.

So just because you read what one mad customer wrote on the internet you will not use them? It's been 5 people talk bad about bill's on here which tells me not to use him, but the guy on the link you posted said he had plenty of arrows but wanted his done right then when it was 2 day's before bow season. If you ask me that's whinning like a 2 year old that doesn't get his way.

No, the reason I won't use them isn't because of 1 mad customer, but how that 1 mad customer was treated on an open forum for all the world to read. Instead of I'm sorry, but we are a little backed up right now, I'll see what I can do to help you out. He got: it's your fault for coming in a couple of days before season, and are you going to shoot ALL those arrows on Thursday? When you run a business some people are going to get mad (not always justifiably), and you can't always help that. What you can help is how you treat that person, especially when other potential customers are watching.

That was my whole point, I had no use for the arrows thursday, but was treated like a dumbass for bringing them in that day.

So that one mad customer who went and bashed a business on a open forum for all to read is right but when a guy that works for the store tries to explain why they couldn't get them done right then is wrong. I don't understand why it is a big deal when the man said he didn't even need the arrows, would have been that hard to say ok and leave them and let them call you when they get ready? I wish I could walk in a resturant and tell them I want a steak and if they couldn't have it ready by the time I sat down I am going to throw a fit, but I understand it takes time and that I am not their only customer. I could care less if you use them or not, I was just asking hunter why he would drive that far when he had a place that could fletch them right down the road from his house. No big deal, sorry I asked the question.

I don't ever recall saying he was right, I believe I even said he shouldn't have waited to the last minute. That is not the point. The point is how you treat your customers, especially when others are watching. Even though they kissed and made up in the end, the damage was done, and written for others to see. It is sometimes hard to think before you speak, but it should be easy to think before you type. I am also in the retail business, not outdoor related, and I have idiots that come in my store on a daily basis with unreasonable demands, but I don't make a scene in front of others, or talk down to them. My post was not to defend Bill's. I've been in the store once and had the same results as a lot of folks on here.

I wouldn't have apologized and if I owned Big Bucks I would be looking for someone to work the bow counter, not because of the fletching shat but because they dont know business. I caught one of my employees expressing her personal opinions to a customer, that is not what she is paid for and out the door she went. If it would have been on the net I dam sure would have flipped my lid one mouth can do enough damage. People will complain about your business just the way it is, but your sure dont need to give them ammo. The guy thought less than two was ample time so hind sight probablly should have went elsewhere, but still no reason to bash a customer on a public forum.

If i go to a restaurant and get crappy service I let yall know.....If I got to a mechanic and he %^*# up my car i let yall know.....If I buy a hooker and she gives me..............................never mind on that one, anyway You go to places and expect to be satisfied. Life requires some degree of Patience but when you take your bussiness somewhere you shouldnt require much patience. Everyone knows that Tdog is my best friend and i got his back. Tdog also knows I will call him out when he is wrong. He is not wrong in this situation and this is not the first time we/He has had problems of this sort with that establishment.
Not all businesses can please everyone all the time but their goal should be to try , not make excuses. Hire more folks!!!
