NO, THEY AIN'T HERE EITHER!

Postby BIGKILLA » Wed Nov 14, 2001 11:31 am

Last tuesday morning I left vicksburg, ms and headed north to LaCrosse, Wisconsin for a job on the Ms. river for 4 days, after traveling through Ms,Tn,Mo,Il,Ia,Mn, and Wi. I drove by several rivers and flooded corn and rice fields and quite a few wildlife refuges and did not see over 200 ducks the whole trip there. I talked to several hunters in wisconsin that were coming off the water and they weren't kill'n nothing, they hadn't had any bad weather but there were about 5 million canvasbacks floating the middle above illinois. We did see a few big ducks on the way home around peoria, illinois but not what I would like to see. I'm not very optimistic about this coming season if the weather doesn't turn around for us.

dear greenheadless why does is seem that every year we get on this site and see the same dumb ass questions about the same old topics. like someone is going to tell their hot spots on delta national or mahannah, give me a break. first off if anyone is asking about those places, they're all dead. darrels coming in and out of those places year after year have finally killed them. i guess i keep remembering when people didn't hunt just to be cool. i wish that things could just stay the same. but they can't so why do i bitch. why you black duckless?????

I've seen a good many ducks in some of those flooded soybean holes on the river but other than that it's been slow in my neck of the woods. I'll be bush hogging my beans later this week and probably get the flood on in a week or so after that. I don't want to get the water on too fast and rot the beans. Hopefully we'll have some cooler weather and we'll all see some ducks.

Hey goofy D,

bush hogging beans? Is that not manipulation? Do you know something I don't?

GOOFYD:
I DIDN'T FIGURE IT WOULD TAKE TOO LONG BEFORE SOMEONE SAID SOMETHING ABOUT BUSHHOGGING YOUR BEANS..I'M SURE YOUR NOT CUTTING THE ONES YOUR HUNTING OVER, UNLESS YOU'VE ALREADY GOTTEN THE BEANS OFF THEM.
