Its Arkie-land, they got more public hunting spots than you can shake a stick at! Remember.....No Water, No Ducks!

Just watch out for the El Camino crew... They will slit your tires if you park your truck any where near the ramp....

Do not let them bother you with misleading statements and bunches of BS  If you are looking for a good place to kill some squirrels or go on a really good coon hunting trip, Malmaison is the ticket. Plenty of small game to be had. I would wear snake boots all the way up until Christmas time because the snakes can be pretty rough. There is some decent deer hunting in the hills behind the main office. You may find a shooter if he is not venturing on to private lands very much. Turkey season is a utter chaos. Unless you can outcall Preston Pittman, I would steer clear of this WMA. Old birds who have been called to by the likes of some of the best turkey men in the country are the norm for this WMA. Ducks....well, you have to work at it, but there are a few ditches and one particular slough that could give up a limit of squealers on any given day. You have to be the first there and time your calling so that cars passing by do not interfere. I have seen as many as 20 wood ducks at one time in some of the ditches. Best way to scout is to turn into the main HQ and see what is sitting on their "resting spot" which is located right off HWY 7 and is closed to hunting. Drive on by there and check the ditches to the north and south of the gravel road. Once you come to the T in the road, take a left and drive back to the very back of the WMA where in lies a large creek. You can walk this creek and get a fair idea where and when the wood ducks will be coming. Hope this helps!

SWAG why not let him figure this out on his own. It took me a lot of scouting to find those woodies and that creek! You guys kill me.
