Saturday morning..I am setting on the side of a pond...duck hunting...camo, waders, dog, calls, GUN..the whole 9 yards...and low and behold....some guy come walking over the hill over 1/2 to where I was at...and says...

Hey Missta..You been catchin' any White Purch? I replied No...keep in mind he is about 40 yards from me....He then says...Missta..Have them White Purch been bitin' today? I then replied again...NOPE...Couldn't tell ya I'm not fishing....Well he says....Do ya think they gonna be bitin' here in a while....I replied..Couldn't tell ya....

THEN, this dumb blue-gum says..So Missta whatchya doin' out here lookin' for ducks when I seen 'bout 20 sittin' over der in the cowner of dis here pond....I replied..Yup and they are STILL there..(decoys)...I WAS duck hunting.....

I got another good one. Back when I was in college my buddy and I used stocking foot waders. We would get chuck taylor converse tennis shoes size 13 and wear as wader boots. Well we pulled up to a gas station one morning and it was about 15 degrees outside. This man comes up and sees us with waders on and these bright red chuck taylors. He ask us what we were doing. We told him we had been duck hunting. He had this confused look on his face and asked if we had been in the water. Of course we say yes we were wading in waste deep water. Confused he asked don't your feet get cold! We said no not really we wear 2 pair of socks! He didn't know the waders went down in our chucks!

Just before Christmas, we were doin' some late morning huntin' at Albermarle. We didn't get there until about 9:00 and we were easin' through the flooded timber, jumpin' ducks and settin' up for 'em to come back. Well, we shot some birds and came on back to the ramp, boat full of camo, guns, dog and dead ducks. There was two old men at the ramp, puttin' up their fishing boat. One of the men looks at us and said, "YA'LL HAVE ANY LUCK WADE FISHIN'?" !
