Take care of your knees..You'll need them for a lot more Death Marches!! I've had one of my knees cut on twice!! It sucks!! Now I'm dealin' w/ back issues...even worse!!
I may go to Heaven, or I may go to hell....But one thing is for certain..It'll be after Duck season!!

Next weekend, take a kid hunting! It'll get ya back out one more time,
and it might just make a good impression on a young boy or girl. The future of our sport is in the hands of those to come. If you do your part now, it may set the stage for many years of enjoyment in the future.
Besides, we're getting older and a young buck to carry those decoys and
stuff on those death marches in couple more years..... just might be a
life-saver  .
Oh, and don't forget about the jig-pole & those paper-mouths!!!
Good luck with the knee.

Hey Rip' Em,

Planning on going on my first turkey hunt this spring. Got a place around Lake Maurepas down here, but also got invited to shoot one around Black Hawk, MS. Saw several while deer hunting up there. Heard turkeys are addictive as ducks? True or false?

Very true my Purple & Gold friend !

If ya can't afford another bad habit, ya dang sho better leave the Turkey hunting alone !

Starts out like any other sport,... ya think to yourself,... " Now that wasn't so bad ",... next thing ya know,...Shortness of breath, inability to sleep at night, and/or waking up at night in a cold sweat, thinking of tactics that should or should not have been applied ! :D That's when it hits you...

WHAT IN THE HELL HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO ? ..... BUT...... By then it's far too late !

Holler back !

Chop,...I would take the "waking up in a cold sweat" option myself.

At least I would feel as if I had gotten "SOME" sleep !
Ya'll let me know if ya ever wanna come up to my club for a little Turkey huntin,... !

I've got a "nice sized" place !

It runs from Tunica,...SE, all the way to Biloxi ! Some call it Mississippi,... but it's mine !

Holler back !

I do chase them turkey birds !

Alot of different places,... Laurel, Soso, Waynesboro(sp), Prentiss, Onward, Bay Springs !

Jasper County seems to be on the way up !
Jones County,... very good hatches, 3 years handrunning !
Jefferson Davis County seems to be holding strong !
Wayne County may have seen a slight tail-off,... but is still a strong Turkey bird county !

Everyone should start noticing Older, more mature birds coming to the call this year ! Birds should be getting a little bit long-spurred !

It ain't far off now !
