what a difference a year makes

Postby LawDawg » Fri Aug 07, 2009 11:25 am

Last year, I passed this 7 point up twice with my bow at my madison county lease and checked my camera after work yesterday and he is back. If I get a chance at him this year with my bow, he might spring a leak.

here is is on the last day of the season last year.

here he is this year

would yall take him out or give him another year? I think it will depend on my mood when I see him.

I'd have to take him out. He's mature and a nice deer at that. No telling what he would be next year, but what if your neighbor gets him before you do? regardless, for a bow kill he is a fine animal.

If you can afford to let him walk, let him walk, looks to be 3.5. If you really want him dead I will shoot him for you :?

Man to me a trophy is in the eye of the beholder, but I would let him walk another year. He's a good deer this year, but next year he should be huge.
Just my 2 cents

Looks like he really hasn't gotten much bigger, they allways look huge in velvet. I would take him he might not get much bigger.

I would gig him. I would for sure make the management buck standards at my club. Nice deer, but I don't think he will ever be more than a 7 point.
