If you want want to shoot 3.5 get the beretta, otherwise shoot them both and see what you like...

I recently got an extrema 2 and wish I would have gone with a Browning Silver..Shot 3 boxes out of my extrema at clays, had 2 shells where the primer was dinked with the firing pin but the shell did not shoot..took the shell out and put it in my buddies mossberg pump, and they shot.

Also think the Browning silver shoulders better for me..

I got an E2 after some shoulder surgery thinking the gas gun would be easier on me than my SBE's. It shot smooth and soft, but I got rid of it after less than a half season and went back to my old friend the SBE. I didn't like they way it pointed, the way the stock felt and quickly lost confidence in it. I shouldered a Vinci and they come up nicely, ugly like their rifle, but swung smoothly and pointed nice. I suggest you get with someone that has one or both and see for yourself. Nobody can judge a gun, wife, dog, etc. for another.

I miss the DU outdoorsfest in Memphis. The sporting clays setup was a great place to test different manufacturers guns head to head.

It basically ran it's course. Same song different verse each year. A certain amount of apathy was evident and vendor costs were going up also. Was good while it lasted. I liked competing in the 5 stand. Avery's crawfish boil was a highlight and I threw a big party at my house each year.

Basically, you're either a Beretta guy or Benelli guy based on how they "feel" to you when you shoulder them. Get which ever one feels the best.

(but know the Beretta's the better gun)

I've got no personal experience with the Vinci.

i have shot most of the ones mentioned. i spent $1700 on a sbe II and to me it is not the gun a SBE I is. I went back to the SBE I and will shoot it til it falls apart. I am in the market for another one.

is this the wrong time to say that I bought a SBE from a local gun store right before the SBE II's came out. He wanted to clear his shelves to make room for the new SBE's so I got it for $700 cash.

I like it.

Amen!!!!

I shoot an xtrema 1 and i love it. It may be heavy but it balances great for me. Im 6' 1 , 190lbs and it fits me well. I almost beat myself up a couple weeks ago over buying a SBE or a SBE II..... i went with the SBE II and think i may regret it! I just dont think the new bwnellis will hold up like the older ones will.... only time will tell, though
