I know I am asking for it but I hope someone can help....

Postby Bigpoppa » Fri Jul 31, 2009 4:50 pm

Look, I know a lot of you dont care for cats or are dog people or what the hell ever. I love dogs and I love MY cats. However spare me the BS. Kids involved...and you do what you can . I think it is my responsibility to do this. Her goes................................Remember I am a pretty big dude and like to kick ass........ok here goes.................
My wife and daughter have SAVED a kitten. They are all proud and the kitten is in good health and been checked by the vet. They know we cant keep another cat but all sources we have contacted end in putting the cat to sleep. So they are freaking the hell out. But guys , we cant keep it.
I will pay for shots and to have this girl cat ( and they make better cats) fixed if one of you guys gives her a good home. Worth a try to keep my wife and daughter from crying. Make your jokes be mean , whatever I got a soft spot for animals and even more my wife and daughter.
Please help. Animal rescue is out, CARA is full! Thanks guys , any leads appreciated.

I feel for you man. I just acquired a new puppy that the wife and kids saved from the pound. Wife's friend is getting a divorce and my wife gave it a home "temporarily" while she worked through that. It ended up becoming permanent. :? :? I've got 3 cats running through the house that my daughters saved from the streets. :? :?

Bigpoppa, read my post about a lack of decency. Our cat was hit by a car yesterday. If you would be willing to meet halfway between Jackson and the southern state line, maybe Crystal Springs or something, I'll come get him.

PM replied, and no a her/he doesn't matter. The cat will be fixed once we get it, and then become an outdoor/indoor cat. With Mouse catcher being the cats main reason for being at the farm.

I got three in the house now that I feel the same way about. Never was a cat person 'til I got married 29 yrs. ago. One of the best we ever had, I found beside the road turkey hunting one day. He was about 3 miles from any house so I figure he got pitched out or fell out from under a car. Just a tiny, dirty thing about to starve to death.... He was smarter than any dog I ever owned. He wanted out, he'd go sit by the door. When he got ready to come in he'd tap the storm door with his paw. When he was 3 1/2 yrs. old I let him out one night and he came back real sick . He died next morning. Vet said he most likely caught and ate one of those blue-tailed lizards, that they were sometimes toxic to some cats...... Losing him hurt me as much as any dog I have ever owned and lost. That was 6 yrs. ago and I was thinking about that peckerwood last night. He used to jump on the bed at night and bite me on the arm so I would wake up and pet him. When he got petted enough, he'd jump down and leave me alone 'til next morning.......I miss him and it don't bother me to say it, either

The coolest cat we've had came from behind the office I work in. I felt bad for the skinny little thing and started feeding her from my lunch pack. She finally let me catch her, been tearing the heads off of mice and leaving them on the laundry room steps ever since. :?

We also have two mutts that I picked up from the side of the road. One of them was tossed from the window of a moving vehicle, right in front of us. :x

Both are healthy little balls of energy now but the one is still a little shy around strangers. By the way, any of y'all looking for a free puppy?

If anyone wants a free dog, I have 10 that they can pick from. My wife can't stand to see a starving stray puppy. We have aquired 9 mutts and one hell of a food and vet bill.
