Has anyone hunted this area and how is the hunting? Also, where is the best place to lease a spot (if this year doesn't work out) if I could find a couple hundreds acres?
Drew is a good area, but that doesn't mean squat. You need to be more specific. Just because there is a good duck hole in one place doesn't mean that a field or slough just across the road is going to be good also. It is important to get at least a 10 year history of the property and be able to see for yourself if ducks are using it during duck season. Too many people make the mistake of looking at a piece of property after the season when there is no hunting pressure or even during the summer months when there is no water on it and the ducks have long gone back north.
If you don't have anymore info on the history of the property than what you posted, it sounds to me like you bought into a crap shoot at best. But maybe not.
DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE GETTING INTO ANY CLUB OR LEASE. THE CHANCE OF YOU JUST FALLING INTO A GOOD CLUB, SITE UNSEEN IS A LONG SHOT BECAUSE IF IT WAS A JAM UP PLACE, THERE PROLLY WOULDN'T BE A SPOT AVAILABLE TO LEASE. JMHO.
