Postby Bustin' Ducks » Mon Jan 19, 2004 5:45 pm

One of my buddies got his 1st banded duck this am....It was a Wood Duck Drake...The band was a 1 800 Call band from Laurel, Md...THe lady said we'd get the info in a bout 2-3 weeks!!
I may go to Heaven, or I may go to hell....But one thing is for certain..It'll be after Duck season!!

A friend of mine has killed two banded woodies this season while hunting public land east of Phillip, MS. I have heard that the MSDWFP had banded some woodies before the start of the season. It will be interesting to know if the 2 woodies were locally banded or migrators.

A good friend of mine carried his two sons (ages 11 and 13, I think) hunting a couple week ago and they both killed a banded woodie each. I was told the ducks were flying together. One was banded in Ark and the other in Iowa. Me and their dad have killed many woodies over the last 15 years - None with any bling bling.

good-day!
