I HAVE HAD MORE TIME TO THINK......MEMORY SERVING ME CORRECTLY NOW.....I HUNTED WITH DON HO 2 WEEKENDS THREE YEARS AGO ON THIS LAND IN QUESTION.....THE FOLLOWING YEAR.....OPENING WEEKEND...DON HO WAS MOVING THE NIGHT BEFORE.....I WENT OUT ON MY OWN...BUILT ALL A BLIND AND PUT OUT ALL DECOYS THE NIGHT BEFORE BY MYSELF.......THE NEXT DAY AFTER THE HUNT.....WE LET DON HO SLEEP (HE NEEDED IT) WHILE WE WORKED WITH THE ACTUAL LANDOWNER ON THE HOLES WE WANTED TO HUNT...IE FIXING DRAINS AND DAMS.....HUNTED THIS PLACE ON IVITE 4 TIMES AND KILLED MINIMAL DUCKS....ANOTHER MEMBER OF THE PARTY FOUND A WHOLE WITH DUCKS AND WE MOVED....ALL OF US

NOW LETS ALSO NOT FORGET HOW MANY TIMES IHAVE CARRIED DECOYS AND CHAIRS AND GUNS AND AMMO AND ALL SORTS OF %$#@ ACROSS BOTH WHOLES IN QUESTION WITHOUT A FOUR WHEELER AND NOONE ELSE CARRYING ANYTHING BUT THEIR BODY

seems that if a man does not own land and is invited to another mans land to hunt.........then he shouldnt bring guest with him.......I for one would be mad if someone I invited brought a guest after I worked one a holeto get the birds there and had an unexpected guest show up.....

I did just that a few weeks ago on a dove field however I was not shooting just working dogs....so I called the guy who owns the field and ask if I could bring someone to shoot cause all I was going to do was work the dogs.....and after the hunt although he didnt kill anything I still felt bad about even asking if I could bring someone :(
Thanks
Bruce

I completely retract the statement I made earlier on this post. I will take the initiative and apologize to Greenhead and anyone else who read the post. My statement was uncalled for in this forum, and based on a misunderstanding between Greenhead and myself.

Mighty big of you Quackhead11 to admit you were wrong. I don't know either one of you, but more folks need to stand-up and admit when they've made a mistake. Hope you all can work out the mis-understanding.

I have one question about being a good hunter. I am only 14. I started duck hunting last weekend (1/10,1/11) and I got the fever. Some of my dad's friends said I need to get some duck calls. Well i don't know what kind or where to go to get a few duck calls. So if anyone could tell me some duck calls that i can get and where to get them from i would be happy to learn how to use them

thanks 8)

welcome aboard......my advice is for you to go to walmart or a sporting goods store.......for about 29.00 buck gardner has a three call package that you can learn the basics with........work with that

while workin your way up......go in february and try to find a field where the ducks are and just listen.......after a while try to mimmick what you hear

good luck
