Rio Shells

Postby Law Duck » Tue Jul 14, 2009 1:05 pm

I know that I have seen several threads about Rio Steel Shot. I don't recall anyone posting anything about Rio dove loads. Anyone shot any? Do you like them? Pros or Cons?

Thanks in advance!

I love them, get them from ableammo.com . However, the powder smells pretty bad and can burn dirty at times.

I've shot cormorants with them here and ducks in Argentina and Mexico. Lead shot is always a great equalizer!! I really didn't have any problems with them cycling in my Benelli. A lot better than some of the stuff I've shot in some third world countries.
Helping ducks have a bad day since 1961.

I bought a case of them two years ago and they did fine.

My friend shoots many of them at sporting clays, do just fine. Plenty for dove.

That is all I shoot dove hunting. But to be honest, I will pretty much shoot what is cheapest, as long as it over an ounce.
