I am in the market for a small boat ,Been looking at the otter boats, but was wondering if there are other brands out there.does anyone use the "Ghenooe" boats {think I spelled it right}.some thing that I could use a trolling motor or small boat motor ,that will go thru really shallow water ,without sacrificing to much room.any info would help.thanks

Hey Deltaduk,
I have a boat called a PLUS Boat. It is made in Red Banks, Ms. Great little boat. Use it fishing and hunting. I got the two man about 11 ft. it is kinda like a Peroe (not spelled right). It is extremely stable. As the Beastmaster he has been in it and often wants to use it.

Check out Momarsh boats. I think there web address is momarsh.com
If not, just do a google search on MoMarsh. They are based out of MO and have two styles. One is a marsh layout they call the Fatboy. The other is a layout boat for marsh or big water call the FatboyDP. The reason I like their boats is mainly because you can put a small outboard or electric motor on one. I recently ordered one after researching the hell out of small boats. I could not find one negative word on ANY duck hunting forum about their boats. Definately worth checking out.

Mallardchaser has the 13ft Ghenooe for sale in the classifieds.

Small Boat
Got a Chapman Pirogue that I have had for better part of ten years. I just sold it to a friend of mine and bought a brand new one. I cannot imagine a boat that needs less water to move. It does come in a flatback model, but I just paddle mine. And you are right flatlakewoody, that was not the right spelling. Good try though for someone not from south Louisiana! http://www.pirogue.com/
Deltaduk, if you are interested let me know. I am headed back to New Orleans in a week or so and could give one a free ride. I hunt up your way a good bit.
