Speaking of lost decoys.....

Postby crow » Wed Jan 14, 2004 10:20 am

While I was hunting back home, I found a small sack of decoy where they had apparently fallen of a vehicle near Panhter Swamp Refuge. It was a small blue bag with a couple of weighted keel magnums and a couple of those blow up decoys. The last name "Poole" was written on the bottom of one decoy. I tried to leave them at the refuge headquarters, but they said they would not be responsible for them. If you know anyone who may have lost some that match that description, let me know and we can make arrangements to get them back. Those sucksers must have had 25 lbs. of lead on them, so it must have been a large fellow or one too young to know better!

Good move crow! It good to see some folks actually willing to help another guy out. Hope you find the owner.

It's nice to know the boys at the Refuge were so willing to help

Take a look at the Arkansas forum on the Refuge, there is a fella from TN (my home state) who lost a Browning Gold Hunter at the boat ramp. Said the boat was on the trailer sideways and he laid the gun on the ground and forgot about it until it was too late. My question is, why would you need to lay the gun on the ground mine is usually in the gun box before hitting the boat ramp. Good luck to him though, hope some honest sole has that gun as well.

Duh! Everyone knows that Browning Gold Hunters do a much better job holding down dirt that they do killing ducks!

RED, if you cant put a boat on a trailer, you need to leave your hi dollar shot gun on the ramp so a redneck can find it and have it. Sounds like feller got a trip to Top Water gun store in order. Sheez.

Why wuz his gun out? Probably jump shooting coots bro-hammy!

CS, dats funny. I dont personally buy into brand prefrence arugements of lesser weapons, but holding down dirt with a $1000 gun is funnier than crap.

Bottom line is, if your not smart nuff to keep up with your gun, ya deserve to loose it. Glad dumbass didnt leave it on the curb at his house when loading up, so a kid could find it. travis
