Golf in or around Destin/Sandestin

Postby jtdumallard » Tue Jun 16, 2009 11:59 am

Will be down next wednesday thru sunday. Wanting to play a few rounds of golf at a couple diff courses. Can anybody recommend a nice course. Ive looked at the Raven and Burnt Pines so far. Are there any others that are nice courses that allow public play? Thanks

I enjoy playing The Raven course. Although, all of those listed are pretty nice. I've never played Kelly Plantation but have friends that love it......i may try it next time i'm down there.

Kelly is really nice. BlueWater & Raven are not as nice but less expensive. Also try Indian Bayou out by the Airport.

Kelly Plantation and Bluewater are nice. I did not care for the original course at Sandestin. Overbooked and undermaintained.

I like Regatta also. Santa Rosa country club has good twilght prices and not a shabby track either. If you know someone staying at a st.joe property get them to get a Camp Creek tee time. Tough as nails but a great course.

emerald bay about as good as it gets for the price, regetta is as good as it gets period and yes santa rosa a good course and not as expensive, all of these are good courses but the one you will probably do the best at is located at the track, all you need is a putter there
