I was wondering how many clean the ducks they kill or do you give them away. Also does any one keep the gizzards and fry them? YUM YUM!

I keep mine.......taste way too good to give away, besides you know how much that meat is per pound? I'd rather throw gold nuggets away.

Split open and peel of the lining with sharp knife. Brown and add to the roasting pot or mix with the stuffing used while roasting the birds or add to the gravy. BTW, hearts are better and easier to fool with. I keep both on hand from mallards, woodies, and sprig.

Last night we took a mess of (9) mallard breasts from the Saturday morning hunt and cubed the meat. We soaked it over night in salt water, and the rest of the day in a concoction of soy sauce and 100 other things. place in aluminum foil with diced onion, bell pepper, and jalapeños, butter, and a touch of olive oil. Cook to about medium or medium rare.

Finger licking' good.
