Finished dog available- difficult decision

Postby B3 » Tue Jun 09, 2009 9:41 am

Some of you may have seen Dagger. He is 3.5 yo BLM son of Ford that I recently reaquired after selling him year before last. His owner's job changed and I bought him back. He did a great job keeping his standards high for steadiness and obedience over the past 2 seasons with him picking up over 1000 ducks. Unfortunately, my living situation has changed and I have had to move into a neighborhood in town for most of the year. It does not work to try and keep 7 dogs in a subdivision and my kennel space is limited.

Dagger is a very nice dog. His basics are very solid. He has had swimby, cheating singles, channels, no no drills, wagon wheel, 3 pile lining and runs cold blinds on land to 250 yds and on water out about 150. He will swim down a shoreline and cast into the water off of a point or shoreline. He does multiple marks and he is VERY good at the line. He is steady, quiet, and handles birds well.

I am not in hurry to sell him but I know I will have to before I move back to town in August. If any of you hear of a good hunting home please pass the word about him. If someone is interested I will be glad to talk to them and show them the dog.

Thanks,

Bill

I hunted this dog for a season and if you want a great dog in the blind as well as a family pet he is the one for you. Good luck Bill finding him the right home. If you need me to keep him until you fing the right home just let me know.

I have been around this dog since Bill bought it as a puppy and participated in his training when Bill and mine's scheduled allowed. Everything he says and Stump says about the dog is SPOT ON!!! Very nice and solid animal!!!!
