Four Days and Counting

Postby laduck » Mon Nov 05, 2001 5:04 pm

Well men, Saturday can not get here quick enough. There are some birds around, but we need some fronts to move some more on down. If any of you want to start early just come on down. I don't know what we will see or kill, but we will have a good time. Jack

Shoot them sprigs on their first pass!

I don't know that we have the birds for the opener, but God willing I will be out there and am already having trouble sleeping. Can't wait!!!

Laduck, how do the duck hunters get along with the fishermen down there. What is the "ethical" thing to do when someone fishing comes into "your" pond, or the pond you are hunting. I know most people wouldn't come into a hunters pond but some will do anything to catch a fish. Just curious how that works out.

Big Lou, how do you know Jack from PHRC? I hunt with him, know him pretty well. I at least assume you mean Jack Varruso.

Tell them Louis says high and to have a safe opener.I enjoy y'alls group so much I am think about joining the PHRC and I live in Jackson, MS! Hey Louis, small world, this is the Jeff that ran test dog in that junior test and also helped throw birds. My lease bumps up right next to Jack and Elmo's lease. In fact will be at their camp real early in the am on Sat. so we can all head to the launch together. How did your test end up in Jackson. I know a bunch of the guys got some passes in the higher levels that they needed big time. By the way hope your wife is feelin' better.

Oh yeah, no that isn't the same Jack that started the post, however they are both from Slidell. I have never met that Jack but hope to one of these days. Both seem to be real nice guys and both are from Slidell.

Jeff great hearing from you1 My wife is doing great, thanks for asking. I got a Senior pass Saturday, but did not get one in Sunday. He gave me problems on a mark and would not take a line on the blind, Sunday was not his day. Courtney(my wife) got two junior passes this weekend for her dog. If you remember ask Elmore to tell you about the fogging Lanier Fogg put on the senior dogs Saturday and junior dogs Sunday. He only passed 6 dogs Saturday and he had to re-run a water mark for all dogs up to point for junior on Sunday. It was a real mess for his test. Anyway tell Jack and Elmore to bust a duck, you too! Give me a report Sunday night when you get back. You guys should have some cool weather Saturday morning!
