thanks, the ones in herters look like plastic, are they pretty thick. he's a size 4 or 5 if any one can find them let me know. hunters haven said $109.00 for maybe a year, cant see that.

Hey Scooter,

Yeah they are real thick. That's what I meant by heavy (weight also). They are the rubberized canvas. Great sole tread. Pocket and drawstring. When I ordered them I was afraid that they would be plastic also. I was really happy when they came in.

My son wears a 41/2 shoe so I got him the 5 and there is room to grow and for thick socks.

Last year one of my friends bought his son a pair at Hunters Haven in Tupelo. I think they special ordered them for him. It's worth a try.

Hey Scooter I just bought my son a pair last month. I got them from Herters. I know some people have had a bad time with them, but I was extremley happy. They arrived sooner than expected, they were the right size, and they are very heavy duty. I got him the rubberized type because he is growing so fast, I couldn't fork out the $ for ones he'll outgrow within a year. The only problem is that they didn't come with a belt of suspenders.
