I'm about to regress back to my ol 80 model Chevy pickup...recession done got me, but it still runs fine and a few more payments and she'll be mine

If you want a locally made (i.e. Canton) Titan, hurry up. I hear the 2011 models are going to be made by Chrysler in a plant in Mexico.

Reasons not to buy Toyota:
1. Just over 10,000 lbs of towing.
2. Flimsy frame
3. JAPANESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get off your high horse. I have owned all toyotas and 1 Chevy Z-71. Toyota was sold with 195,000 with nothing but brakes, tires, 1 starter, and one clutch put in it(standard).
2005 Chevrolet with 102,000 on it, smokin when craking up since 60,000, left front tire sounds like its gonnna fall off from a "non-issue" steering shaft that they refuse to replace, and an ac unit that went out at 36,000....and i wasnt near as hard on it as the toyota....i'd hate to see the "rock" that Chevy's are built like....hey but lets buy American so that they can keep producing these piece of chit cars...instead of letting them know they make an inferior product.
+1 on the Tundra...back to toyota after buying my first, and last, american made car.
What you gotta say about a Ford???? I seem to remember many nights that you bragged on how well it slid that back end around. Was it 12 or 13 counts that Super Bowl night?

Re: Which new pickup?
What I find funny is Nissan employees buying Toyota's because they can buy a Toyota cheaper than their Nissan with the employee discount.

Re: Which new pickup?
It's hard to find a Toyota owner that regretted their purchase (i am on my third, all high miles with no problems) but easy to find a Ford/Chevy/Chrysler owner with buyers remorse. I was once one of those, never again. The only regret I have had with buying a Toyota is that I have outgrown the truck before I reach the 10 year/175K mile point before it is worn out - nothing more than brakes, tires, batteries in all that time. I hate selling/trading vehicles like that!!

That was the plan BEFORE Chrysler's recent finacial woes. That plan was axed several months ago.

I think it has more to do with them trying to leave Nissan in Canton & go to work for Toyota in Tupelo

Seriously though, yota figured it out long before anyone else was able to. They are definately the benchmark in terms of automotive manufacturing without question. For some reason several of their top VP's have jumped ship to us. Surely they brought some of those trade secrets withe em'

Too bad those NNAC employees that bought "the other white meat" have to park away from the green zone........

Re: Which new pickup?
SJ, friends and family VPP of Nissan equates to, about $100 ( that would be a D plan ) below invoice depending on the vehicle, average is that though. There are several different Vpp plans. A plan is the best plan, for employees ONLY.Sounds like that's what you are refering to. Employees can't give out an A plan. They should really have a class on that at the Canton plant. Get a VPP D plan and I'll bet you any amount I can get a BETTER discount on a ford, chevy, toyota, or dodge truck. Vpp does give a really good discount on the % rate and the warranty when you finance it with NMAC. If you have any questions let me know and I'll get you more facts.
