Reasons not to buy Toyota:
1. Just over 10,000 lbs of towing.
2. Flimsy frame
3. JAPANESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get off your high horse. I have owned all toyotas and 1 Chevy Z-71. Toyota was sold with 195,000 with nothing but brakes, tires, 1 starter, and one clutch put in it(standard).
2005 Chevrolet with 102,000 on it, smokin when craking up since 60,000, left front tire sounds like its gonnna fall off from a "non-issue" steering shaft that they refuse to replace, and an ac unit that went out at 36,000....and i wasnt near as hard on it as the toyota....i'd hate to see the "rock" that Chevy's are built like....hey but lets buy American so that they can keep producing these piece of chit cars...instead of letting them know they make an inferior product.
+1 on the Tundra...back to toyota after buying my first, and last, american made car.

Re: Which new pickup?
With the current situation - Chrisler and GM going into bankruptcy, and most of their vehicles are made overseas - I would go with a truly American vehicle.
Nissans are made in Mississippi,
Toyotas are made in Texas
BMW is made in Taladega, AL

Re: Which new pickup?
I have owned a toyota my entire life till I decided to buy a new GMC in 2006 .5 ton... I love my truck cause it is exactly what I wanted, with that said I'd buy a Toyota if I had to do it again.

Re: Which new pickup?
I have to have that keyless entry on a ford f-150......I never have to worry about locking my keys in my truck, or losing them, they're always in my truck!!!!!!! If you want a good discounted deal on one let me know.....just like the emp Nissan price, I can get you the same on a ford truck......The Nissan plan is basically $50.00 below cost
Re: Which new pickup?
Nissan Titan. First because it helps my brother keep his job and we get a good discount. Second they have plenty of hp and as far as gas mileage I have had ford, and chevy, and there is not enough difference between any of them. They also have more room. Got 10,000 off sticker on the titan I purchased last Aug. Plus they look bad booty

Re: Which new pickup?
Sorry Dad, but your wrong. Our discount is 3% less than dealer invoice which equates to a good bit more than $50 unless you are buying a $2,000 dollar truck!
That said, LODI, PM me your Name & Address & I'll get you a VPP claim # that is good for 90 days. Do some research & if you decide to go with the Titan, all you have to do is give the dealer the paperwork I send you & you get the discount. You are not obligated to use it whatsoever. I've said it many times.....It's not a HUGE discount (even though it is over $50), but it's worth it to me simply because it eliminates the haggling back & forth that car salesmen live to do. You tell me the truck you want & I can tell you how much it's gonna cost you ± a few bucks.
Not pushing the Titan over any other - just offering you the same discount I'd be willing to share with any MS Ducker. I drive one because I support the company that puts food on my table, cloths on my kids & me in a duck hole. Plus I know for a fact it's one tough truck.
Let me know if you have any other questions about VPP.
