Puttin' on a fish fry (catfish). Gonna be about 30 people - 18 or so mixed adults, 8 teenagers, 4 small kids.
How many pounds of fish filets should I plan on frying??
Will also have french fries, hush-puppies, cole slaw, and will throw in a bag of chicken nuggets for the little ones.

Re: Fish Fry
on average you need 4-5 filets of fish for adults. Some will eat more and some less. When you have all the fixings it saves on filets
Work is for a man who can't fish

I agree with RDH 4 fillets per person, but it's hard to say unless you see or know the size of the fillets. DR2 is closer with an actual poundage that wouldn't vary with fillet size.
