mid-south

Postby bigsprig » Sun May 10, 2009 4:15 pm

big congrats to dog name madison handled by rooster hunter (or is it the other way around?) for their first master pass this weekend at mid-south. way to go. wish i could have been there.

masley...i think we found kirby's kryptonite. the only thing that can keep her from passing a test is a snakebite. hope she gets better quickly.

Congrats to Rooster and Madison on the pass - not bad for a dog that is not quite 2 yrs. old - I heard the infamous HGH showed up at the last minute for some handling advice ...

Congrats to Booker (Bigsprig) for the pass on Gus - i guess you forgot to put that in your post

I took Kirby to Lee Payne in Oxford after we scratched - no way to tell 100% sure what it was but pretty sure it was a snake bite - she had a large abcess on her leg with 2 puncture wounds - she was running a fever and was pretty groggy - Dr. Payne fixed her up, and she is gonna get at least the week off

how did the other msducker's in flight B do ??

Tbone lost Juice and Nash in the 3rd. Daisy made it through. I may be wrong but i believe T-bone will have some new initials in Daisy's name????

Yep, Nash & Juice had a hard time on the blind into the wind, Nash got into "hunt" mode and that pretty much sums it up.

Juice had a hard time with the marks in the first and then again in the third.

Daisee however, did a great job. She had a big hunt on a mark in the first, smoked the second and the third. I would have had a 5-gallon bucket of water for T but considering he was in the rain all weekend, and there wasn't a dry stich of clothing on him.... I guess we will have to get him later

Way kewl tbone... new mh in the house.

Da Juice sat for tony (at least on saturday, don't know about sunday). Thats all I was concearned and all that matters for the pair in the big show.. if he sits and doesnt get punked out for creeping, they'll make a week out of it in sd. Best part of all this is, I get to be tony's bwana this weekend and load wingers for him in his last weekend of training before sd. Go team BATMAN! travis

goosie...I sure wish I was going up NORF with y'all!!!!!

BTW...you would have been proud of da juice (even if he didn't pass) if you consider the fact that he really hasn't seen a sexy back cast like that before...I think it kinda surprised him and pulled him off his game a bit!!!!

He's seen it now so no surprises in SD!!! 8)

Daisee says thanks for the compliments! It was hard for me to be in celebratory mode when going 1 for 3 for the weekend.

Like mentioned above I lost Nash and Da' Juice in the third land series. You walk up got diversion shot from right gunner line up and run cold 75 yard blind up the hill tight(5 yards) to left gun with wind in your face. Then had out of order triple with a middle long bird(125 yard) .. left short 55yd (hip pocket) land near some decoys in thick cover and right medium (90 yard) simulated twice shot flier. The field had some cut strips and few small birms with thigh high grass(lots of drag back) with pot(water) hole 40 yards from the line. Master A ran the same test the Saturday but with a different wind (did i mention lots of duck scent and possibly OTHER scent in the field  ). After you pick up marks(if you picked up marks) you ran 90-95yd blind thru the pot hole up the hill behind and left of the right gun .

They called back 27 dogs to the third passing 13. Oh yea I forgot to menion an honor as well...in which Daisee got an extended honor because judges forgot to release us due to the fact that 8 dogs before her honored on lead.

...aaaaahhhhhaaaaa.... congrats to CF and Gus... he forgot to mention that he racked up another Senior pass Saturday that left many a handler and spectators alike scratching their head. :?

capt anal... I am proud of my boy, and my friend for handling him. A master pass to me means about as much as a pizza coupon... it'd be nice to have but I ain't gonna miss supper over it. Taking nothing away from the other side, its just not something we've ever cared about or spent any time pursusing... sd is his game and what he exists for... and if tbone and da juice are in sync I feel sorry for whomever has to run next dog AFTER them! hehe. Gonna be a hard act to follow.

I was proud of da juice at the q we ran, where he turned around and thought the judge was gonna hit us with the book while the birds where going off! hehe. travis
