Lost My Hunting Patner

Postby Buckwabit » Tue Apr 28, 2009 9:39 am

Well I went out to check the Garden Sunday and My Dog (PIN) followed me. Within 10 mins I heard tires bark and he was gone. Right in front of my eyes. He never goes to the road, I don't know why he did that day. It's been bad all weekend at my house. I keep wanting to go outside and call him, I try to remind myself to feed him at night, but then when i go outside, I remember.

He went with me everywhere I went. Fishing, Hunting, Gardening, Just a ride to town. I sure am going to miss him. My wife cryed for 3 hours. I couldn't hold back the tears either.

I loved watching him play with my 6 month old daughter. She would pull on his lips and his ears and he would just lay there and wag his tail. He was a great dog

Sorry for your lose and keep thoughts of the good days rolling on. Get another puppy or an older dog as soon as you can and start cherishing new moments.

man i am so sorry. My prayers will be with you and your wife.

my dad took comfort in this poem when he lost his dog of 14 years

To My Master

I explained to St. Peter,
I'd rather stay here,
Outside the Pearly Gate.
I won't be a nuisance,
I won't even bark,
I'll be very patient and wait.
I'll be here chewing on a celestial bone,
No matter how long you may be.
I'd miss you so much, if I went in alone,

It wouldn't be Heaven for me...

Man, I'm sorry to hear that happen to me just a couple weeks ago.
Only the driver didn't hit the brakes til after and that was to find out who's dog it was so he could try to sue me. The worst part was me digging a whole while my son sat there asking," why did that mean man ran over my Jasmine. She is in heaven now isn't she Daddy?" That hit me HARD

exact same thing happened to mine several years, she was a golden retriever. i have never cried so much before. not even at a family funeral. time heals all things, just remember the good times, she was brought to you for a reason. have comfort in that.

I lost mine in February, to cancer. Time does help, but I don't know if it heals. Don't try to replace him, not too soon...
