Vehicle Opinion/Question
Re: Vehicle Opinion/Question
i bought my grand parents tahoe that was an 01 that had about that many miles. it is a 2wd does great when i use it to pull my wife drives it every day keep your truck and get the yukon
Re: Vehicle Opinion/Question
Thanks guys. Great opinions. Would probably be an easier decision if I needed the vehicle today, but I really don't need to do anything for at least a few months, even up to a year, due to current situation.
I know every mile put on this Yukon. Has never pulled a trailer, drive to the beauty shop and store and Vicksburg when my Mimi had it. Brother does not drive it anymore due to having a police vehicle now. But, either way I will be more than likely looking at used vehicles.
Blgros, thanks, have looked into new vehicles, but really trying to keep the price down.

+1
Give him 6500.00 for it and sell the taco for 2500-3500. then you only have the yukon to worry about and you have cash on hand if somethign goes wrong.

Gotta have the tahoe.
Simple fact that when traveling with kids (even to the local grocery store) there is an amazing amount of stuff that must be hauled along. It won't go in the bed of a truck. You know how often it rains down there. Chunk the truck, get the tahoe.

I would do all you have to, to keep the Tacoma. I sold mine a few years ago with 198,000 miles and bought a $#!+. Worst mistake I ever made. I now undertand why they are going under. I know I could count on the tacoma getting me through everything. It may not feel like the best thing to do, but I would go the route that allows me to keep my toyota. My $.02

Re: Vehicle Opinion/Question
I would sell the taco when the time came and try to get a 4 runner in your price range. Taco's have great resell value even when they have tons of miles on them. In my eyes chevy quality doesn't match up to toyota and probably never will. Dance with the one that brung you.
Everything is illegal now, except for the stuff that's mandatory.

Re: Vehicle Opinion/Question
Personally, I would go with the Tahoe. A. You know it is a creampuff. B. It is a less expensive option than a new one. C. Tahoes are comfortable for those long car rides with kids.

Double insurance.
Double tags.
Double up-keep.
Tires.
Seems like it could cost more for two vehicles.
Can't drive but one at a time.
Plus depreciation.

I would go w/ the yukon.I've got a 2000 model w/ 270,000 miles and still is sharp and runs great, uses no oil either ,it is a 4wd .If you keep the oil changed and use a good synthetic oil the will last forever.
