I used Mike Conner on 49 N out side of clinton. He is a little slow, but the work is good and was only 175 for a drake woodie.

I think Tommy Lovelace is in Jackson. He use to be in Greenwood but moved about 5 years ago. He has done several mounts for me and I would recommend him.

His name is Patrick Pitt. He's got one of teh biggest collections of waterfowl in the world and does excellent taxidermy, specializing in birds only..

Does anybody know how to get in touch with this Patrick Pitt guy? I need a good taxidermist to do a woodie and a green head. The guy that mounted a black duck for me last year did a piss poor job and i'm almost ashamed to hang it in my living room!

Shane Smith of Bridgeport, AL does probably the nicest work I've seen. He was crowned the 1998 National Champion Bird Taxidermist. He did a Canvasback for me two years ago at $220. Taxidermy and Artistic Taxidermy are two different Arts. Check him out at http://www.waterfowler.net and his e-mail address is: birdtaxidermy@aol.com

I took a widgeon to Jimmy McGuire in Clinton. He charges $145. I haven't gotten mine back yet, but he has done 3 for a friend of mine: a wood duck, a hoodie and a pintail and all 3 turned out excellent.
