Back problems.......
Re: Back problems.......
I would check out "vax-d" treatments. put you on the table and stretch you out. had a coworkers with have the treatments...good as new. take several treatments, but worth looking into.

Re: Back problems.......
I bulged a disc last feb moving furniture for a spoiled brat...didnt unpack half his $#!+, an entertainment center and tv later couldnt walk...
Did the disc injections, my doc a specialist said I was too young to operate (23) he said the time is coming
but not this soon.
My therapist sucked booty, but the days I got a good one I felt 100% I have bad days and good days, but My bad days are no worse than my co-worker on his best day 2 surgeries after a bulged disc (both of us at L3)
right now im happy with my choice, im still water skiing, biking, and trying to start back running

Re: Back problems.......
I'm 52 yrs. old and do construction/home repair work. Had a big chunk of L5 removed on 9/18/06. Doc said the disc had been herniated about 15 yrs. because it was hard like dried leather. Back pain was not the problem. Piece of disc was wedged against the nerve that goes down my left leg. The pain was indescribeable. Could walk from bed to the bath room and would break out in a sweat and get nauseated from the pain. Surgery was really my only option as the doc said cases like mine only responded to therapy and injections about 40% of the time. Had the surgery and was back at work 7 weeks later..... I am able to do everything I did before the surgery, but if I over stress my back it lets me know PDQ.........If I had to make the decision again, I'd choose the surgery in a second........
Re: Back problems.......
Iwas 32 when i had my surgery . I went three months of eating pain pills and trying to lay brick in screaming pain. I finally decided enough was enough got hooked up with a specialist in OXFORD that done my operation. When i wokeup i knew i was fixed the pain was gone.. NOTsaying its completly over because even now 4 years later i still have days where it gets stiff. But its better than the pain i know shes going threw. 6 weeks after i was back to laying brick just as if i was in my 20s again... GOOD LUCK!!!
