Looking For B&W Waterfowl Photos

Postby SoftCall » Sun Nov 04, 2001 10:57 pm

My wife must be going crazy?? We have been going through a remodeling project for over a year and she granted me decorating authority for our downstairs den. The NGK spark plug poster girls got nixed but I have been told, "tasteful wildlife photos are OK. Mounts with feathers are also OK, but mounts with fur are not". Yeah - I know, I really don't have any input after all.

I have a framed Claypool's reservoir and would like to get some similar black and white photos as well.

Any recommendations?

Regardless - she'll have a 2 month vacation from me if this 60 day deal goes down.

Softcall,

Why don't you just take along a camera and b/w film on your hunts. That way you get the b/w photos/prints you are looking for and you are able to "record your memories for a lifetime."

Seriously, you can even have then printed in sepia tone if you want to go for a nice looking "old print" look as well.

I always carry my camera with b/w and color film. Buy the 12 shot rolls so that you don't get midstream on a roll and wish you had either used color or b/w. You'll waste less film with the 12 exposure rolls.

Good luck.

Hey Softcall I went to EBay.com and just typed in "Duck Hunting" and there were eight pages of related items up for bid. There were several posters of old hunting adds from the 40's and 50's. There was also a black and white print from the 1880's of a duck hunting scene. I only got to page three but I found about 6 or 8 things I think that might work for you. Ebay is pretty easy if you have not used it before. You can just use a credit card and pay with that if you win a bid. Hope this helps

Well just looked at it again and saw exactly what you are looking for. An old B&W photo on page 4 titled "Vintage duck hunting photo men kids dogs NR"

you can take any color picture you have to a quality photo lab and they can make a b/w negative you can blow up to any size.
