It was a great test. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would like to join DIB in commending the Southern Flight crew for a well organized event that showed a whole lot of teamwork and dedication. It was good to see everyone again and I enjoyed meeting some new people.

Chitty did receive her HRCH today and it was certainly all dog. A special thanks to Freddy McCrory for all of his work with her and with me, without you we would have never gotten there. Another special thanks to Alan Sandifer aka Copiah Creek, if it were not for him I would never had the opportunity to own such a wonderful dog and God knows he has spent a many hour helping, counseling, encouraging, and putting up with me. Thank you Freddy and Alan

There was a lot of good team work between dogs and handlers both days. For those of you who missed DIB and Rocco today you missed something. Brian you both did great and I am proud for you.

Skippy , those flames took on a different meaning than what I had intended ( as in crash and burn )

One " iffy " cast with that little sucker and it's over before you know it . That one's on me , in fact I was heard mumbling something about " I just lost that dog " as soon as I gave the cast .

Congrats on all the passes this weekend , and thanks to all the judges and the little people too

feel bad for ole hank really.......think about it, how comfortable would you be having to keep your head turned to watch your booty all day.......the good doc has taken the term "practice makes perfect" to a whole new level.

plus, he was on call last night (MD code word for he just didn't get to sleep at home), so he's probably not gonna see this for a while.

i say let's have some fun.............i mean, we got to hear about the transvestite in vicksburg for 11 pages.......ya'll need to get to work.

I can't say enough about Pstone and all of our crew in their preperation for this event. NEVER been to a hunt test we didn't have to run to the trailer, or dig thru someones truck to start running dogs... thanks to jeeter it never happened all weekend. Every I was dotted, every T was crossed. The food was awesome, as always, thanks gene. Everywhere you turned there was 3 people to do a job, and that makes it a lot more fun on everyone. Mike Botts came from Iowa, and i told him jokingly we had talked and decided a roller derby instead of a grand... he said he didn't care, he was coming back down anyway! He was blown away, never seen a club like ours. He told me last night on the way back to the airport, he couldn't remember a better weekend. Thats something for all of us to be proud. Sat night, I bet we had 15 kids running jr handler... belinda and advantix arranged for prizes for every kid... it doesn't get any better ya'll. Im so proud of this weekend, and want to thank everyone for their work and effort.
To get to be lucky enough to spend the weekend with my friends and dogs, welp, thats not work, thats a privledge.

Baby grand? Naw. belive me when I say we cudda put a series on in that hole that people would still be looking for their dogs. Water marks are a hunting dogs bread and butter, but ask a finished flight to do a set of them and lots of folks are unhappy with the outcome. marks where visible, judges let dogs hunt, and none over 50 yards, and the blind was 78... sounds like a duck hunt to me. travis

Pstone did one heck of a job. Crossing I's & dotting T's does not even come close to what he accomplished this weekend. He and the Grenada mafia made a mark on the map this weekend. Congrats on a very successful hunt test.

Jeter you did a great job coordinating all the marshals. As a Judge I never needed anything to make the test run smoother, from set up on Sat & Sun everything we needed to make that test happen was waiting on us, to getting the test tore down in the afternoon. My father also was impressed with how well of a job everyone did. He has been to four hunt test this season and made the comment that this was the first hunt test where he actually saw the club members putting it on getting the chance to enjoy the test too. That comment speaks volumes...

I really enjoyed getting to judge, the dog work was excellent. I have seen so many test over the years that end up as a cookie cutter arrangement, and so far from being an actual hunting situitation that they are boring. The test Sat were anything but, and I had the best seat in the house. And for those who called it a Baby Grand, it was no where near. It was a solid finished test and it allowed the Philosiphy of the HRC shine thru the true Hunting Dogs ability, both trained and natural.

Kudos to Jim Woods and his dog Rascal for getting their HRCH. (He passed Sat) I had the privlidege of awarding Jim and Rascal their very first started ribbon the first time I judged a test, and this weekend I got to see his efforts come full circle and award him with a pass for his title. Keep up the good work Jim,

Southern Flight had the Mojo Working..........Great Hunt Test............SFHRC had there game on.....................excuse the pun but they had all there Ducks in a Row..........

I guess when you go to the line in a Hunt Test and your not Nervous and Stressing Out , its time to look for something elso to do...............however when the Judges call your number that you have that pass the felling overides all the Stress...........?????????

Congrats to Dib and the Roc................. DIB aged a couple of years on the honor, when he was on the honor bucket Roc took a Controlled Break.............but when there was a no bird for the working dog on the last mark................DIB and the Roc had to do it again...................... Looks like Roc is under Control..............Cograts Again to DIB and Roc.

To:Travis, Trey and Mike................. I enjoyed the hunt.

I will say, DiB just about shat himself when I called for a no bird. The look on his face was priceless when I asked him to put Rocco on lead.   Sorry Brian, I had too. Funny part was when he came back down to the honor bucket, I am not to sure he wanted to take Rocco off lead....  But he did do a great job the second time around.

Congrats on your pass.

   Man, I did shat myself  Dude, when you are so close to passing after many attempts, then something like that happens.......  Roc honered 5 birds........(well 4 birds).........and that wasn't fun, at all. I think Travis said......"Dude, you didn't need that to just happen".......... I felt for sure Roc would break on the second go around, but he was better than the first time??? Go figure........I LOVE THIS GAME

Hey guys, thanks, but a ton of good help make my job a whole lot easier, and makes me look good..a task in itself  .

Jeeter was awesome, and the food....if someone had something bad to say about the food, they need thier head examined....Thanks Gene.

One more group that deserves a LOT of recognition is the COE, they were easy to work with, and gave us everything we asked for, can't say enough about them!

And as usual, Mrs. Glenda had everything under control at check in....

Great weekend.
