+1 anything that seems to simple to our government turns into an all out warfare

+2

And if it passes, we can all start looking out of our rose colored glasses and sing around the campfire.

In the meantime, we can certainly hope for some good sound reasoning such as this.

Come on!!! Hair folicle test!! Dude get real!!

Not sure if you realize or not but a hair folicle test is about the same cost as a urine test, probably no more than $50 at the most. Most employers now use hair test.
.............just Googled it( i thought i remembered about $90 for Hair follicle testing---but on just one website $60-$70, so even if you said $50-$100 for HF...i would still be in support of doing it... urine testing-$30 or so and probably cheaper, with that kind of bulk testing.......i can think of multiple problems with doing it.....but price ain't one of'm

I fail to see any similarity at all. One group is either disabled and cannot work or lazy and cannot work and expects the government to pay for their food, their transportation, their medical bills, and anything else they want by get a check from the government several times a month. This check from the government is your and my money. It is taxpayer money, and those receiving it should be held to whatever standard the taxpayers would like to hold them to.

The other group is someone that would like to purchase or already owns a firearm, something that is guaranteed in the constitution of this country. This group is using ZERO taxpayer money and are not asking for any form of payment from the government.

No one is speaking out of both sides of their mouths.

It is a great idea to make sure that the taxpayer's money that is being handed out to welfare recipients is not being spent on drugs. What is the problem with that?

Bababooey,

I think what he is saying is that the same people who will say it is unconstitutional to drug test welfare recipients will then say that testing gun owners is not unconstitutional.

Not a constitutional scholar so someone correct me on this. What I am saying is that the right to bear arms is a right that is listed in our constitution (2nd amendment). The right to sit on your ass and collect a check from people that are actually working for their money is not spelled out in the constitution.

That is why I am saying they are not similar. One is a right that is very clearly spelled out.

When I see them want to have their kids tested cause they think somethings wrong with them and its only because the check is bigger for mental problem than a normal kid its gone way too far. I think there needs to be a family limit cause they aren't spending any of the money on the kids anyway. I worked a case a few years back looking at financials woman got 4 mental kids checks 3 normal kids checks and one for herself. She made more a month than I did working a good job that took a college degree to get. I was more than happy to help have her locked up, atleast I knew the kids would benefit. We sit there and wonder how they get all them caddys with the wheels.

while there are ways around it, you can run a 10 panel pee test for less than 5 bucks. If only have those crack heads did not find ways around it, Think of the millions that would be saved.
