I shot two cases of the black cloud this year. Cleaned my gun once during the middle, and that was because of hunting in the rain one day. My buddies finally started using them half way through the season, but they used the 3" shells and said they could tell a difference between them and the Win. experts. I wouldn't hesitate one second on buying them next year.

BR549 You should not have to shoot ducks at 50 or 60 yards.

Every round that I shot this year was Black Cloud and I have yet to clean my SBE II. I normally clean it just prior to the beginning of duck season, so I am sure that is how it will be this year as well.

That is not the only ammo I shoot, just all I shot this year since I have some much of it. I also have two cases of 3 /12" #2, 1 9/16oz Fasteel, I just never got around to shooting them with so few ducks this year.

Well, for starters, it usually takes me about 10 minutes to thoroughly clean my SBE II. With the black cloud ammo it was double that at least. Now if I noticed a lot less cripples or that they had better knock down than the Fiocchi's I shot this year then I would be glad to shoot them and spend the extra time cleaning my gun. But I did not see a single advantage to shooting black cloud ammo other than the box looked cool and Phil endorses them.

Let me try it another way, if you had two different duck holes. One of them was 5 minutes from the camp, you could put decoys out in 5 minutes and had a super comfortable blind in it. The other was a 20 minute 4 wheeler ride followed by a 1/2 mile walk through tit deep water and had no blind. You saw and killed the exact amount of ducks out of each blind. Would you choose to hunt blind one or two?

Have used alot of Kent 3.5" #3 but this year I switched to 3.5" #6 Hevi-Shot.

The Hevi's really smacked the belly scratchin greenheads and the canadas.

Hell at 30 yards anything will pattern with an improved cyl! Move it on out to 50 and 60 and see what you got! I can't stand em. Absolutely the dirtiest ammo I've ever seen.

Aint no point in taking 50 - 60 yard shots anyway. Call em in to 25-30 yards..that should be your goal..anybody could get shots at ducks 50-60 yards away

I wish they would restrict shell size to 2 3/4"...3 1/2" shells are the worst thing ever invented!

That sounds like a plan.
