another riddle
Three men get a hotel room for 30 dollars, they split it three ways, 10 appiece. The manager then found out after they are in their rooms he has made a mistake. The rooms were together only 25 dollars. He sends the bell hop to their rooms with 5 one dollar bills, the bell hop decide since he can't split 5 one evenly between three people he keeps 2 dollars and gives each a dollar back. Now the men each have 9 dollars invested in there rooms, 9x3 is 27, plus the 2 the bell hop kept makes 29. Where is the missing dollar?

Re: another riddle
they thought they were paying $30 dollars didnt know it as actually $25; after they got their $3 back. they each only payed $9 the bell hop has the $2 that they didnt know he took. that made the $29. or (so you have $25 actual cost of room +$2 bell hops money + $3 refund = $30. no missing dollar. hope this explains it

Re: another riddle
Each one actually has $8.3334 invested in the room. When the bellhop brings back $1 to each of them, that makes $9.3334. $9.3334 x3 rounded to the nearest cent makes $28. Plus the $2 the bellhop kept, makes $30.

Try this easy one: Amoebas reproduce by splitting in two. An amoeba that does so every minute is placed in a jar at exactly 10 o'clock in the morning. At 12:00noon the jar is full. At what time is the jar half full?
