Kevin Van Damm's ride

Postby GreenheadJim » Tue Mar 10, 2009 6:03 pm

I was driving down 55 south today around Grenada when I passed this tricked out Toyota Tundra pulling a boat. When I got beside it, there was a big sticker saying his name. It must be good to be him.

He is a Hell of a Competitor. Great fisherman to be young as he is.

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. Benjamin Franklin.

Those who can do. Those who can't get on MSDUCKS and try to convince everyone they can.

That had to have been his backup boat. He just wrapped up a tournament on Toledo Bend Sunday and was at a press conference in Del Rio TX at 6 p.m. yesterday. Was on the water at daylight this morning on Lake Armisted for the battle on the border. Most of these top touring guys have more than one boat.

KVD didnt fish at Toledo Bend that was an Open and not an Elite Series event. He was probably headed to Del Rio for the Amistad event. He is one hell of a fisherman and from everything I read and hear he is a great person too.

I saw Kevin about 3 months ago in the Little Rock airport. What caught my eye was his carry on bag had "Bass Master Classic"
on it, and I noticed it was him. He is taller in person.

I started to go over and talk to him, but he looked busy and I really didnt want to bother him, I am sure they cant go into public without some goodin' wanting an autograph all the time.

KVD is a machine when it comes to fishin', he is at least equal to Rick Clunn in my opinion.

I saw that same truck in Hernando last week pulling a boat. It was at Colemans BBQ. I thought it was him too but some old gray haired guy got out of the truck. Must have been his personal driver or someone stole his truck.
