I'd give anything....
I'd give anything....
I feel like I have the best of everything in life. Great job, great money, nice house, cars, everything. The only thing I want I can't buy. I'd give anything if my wife were able to be pregnant and have our child. I'd kill for her just to be able to have one healthy baby. You think that you know everything and have it all in control but its been like 3 years and nothing. The specialists we've seen haven't helped. I know we can adopt but my wife wants to be pregnant have just one of her own and I understand. Besides, it takes several years before you actually get to take one home. I don't know if the lord is testing or punishing for something I have done wrong but I feel like I would be a good father. I know this has no comment being on a duck hunting board but I can't hold it in anymore. Just please pray for me because I need the strength to be strong for my wife. Thanks.

Re: I'd give anything....
Hey JD, I know exactly how you feel brother, My sister had been trying to get preg. for about 6 or 7 years and tried everything, went to the doctor, to look at her and then him everything was fine with the both of them. She was stressed out to the max and so was my brotherinlaw. I'm a firm believer that the good lord has a plan for you and your wife. I told my sister to stop worrying about it that the stress might have her hormones all out of whack and to let nature do its thing, as soon as they quit trying to get pregnant lord beholds she finds out she is. So I guess what i'm saying is just leave it in gods hands. Will be praying for you and your wife

What Lilbrock said!
God put trials in our lives for a reason and expects us to turn to Him to figure that reason out. Maybe He's trying to tell y'all to consider adopting. I know adoption is not for everyone, I would struggle with it myself, but there are so many kids out there that need someone who wants to be a good parent, just like you do. I hear time and time again of couples who couldn't have children of their own, but, after adopting, God blessed them against all odds and predictions with their own healthy babies!
On the other hand, maybe He's got some blessing in store for you and your wife that doesn't involve children, and He's just waiting on you to ask Him what it is!
Do some praying about it and I'll do the same. Good luck to you.

Re: I'd give anything....
My wife And i tried to get pregnant for years. Finally in 06 we did. After four months the baby died. Had to go have the DNC done and it crushed us. Now we have a beautiful 17 week old little girl. She is the love of my life and I couldn't imagine life without her in it.
Keep the faith. God does answer prayers and there is nothing he can't do. Here is a picture of my little angel. I hope this inspires you to look up and don't lose the faith.
Hang in there....

JD,
I feel for you. We are kind of going through the same thing. I took us a while to get pregnant with our first one. Wife had to go on Clomid(sp). First month it worked. When we decided to try for our second she got pregnany again on the first try. 9 months later Owen was born. Because my wife had so many problems during both pregnancies we decided to have her tubes tied. 5 days later Owen passed away. So now we have had a tubal reversal in order to try and have another child. In November we were pregnant again which turned out to be a tubal pregnancy and we had to have a DNC, in January she got pregnant again but had a miscarriage. Without Hayden, I don't know that we could have made it through. I know how tough it is not being able to have a child, or in our case another child, but when you know it is because you made a mistake about having a tubal it is even tougher... We don't know if we should try Invetro or adoption or just keep trying...
My prayers are with you my friend.

Re: I'd give anything....
My brother and his second wife tried for 5 years. No luck. 6 weeks after my brother won a 10 yr custody battle of his son from his first marrage his second wife got pregnant. The doctors say she was just trying too hard causing undue stress and when her step son moved in she concentrated on being a mother to him and now they have two of their own and his first son.

Re: I'd give anything....
DO NOT GIVE UP TRYING.
It will be hard not seeing results, but I have family and friends in the same boat. Some work out and some are still trying. Just don't give up trying.
My wife female doc told her for years that she would have trouble getting pregnant because she was on birth control since she was 14 years old. Took us from Sept to Nov to get pregnant. I keep telling me wife it's because the doc never factored in that she'd marry a Romero. There's 9 pages in the phone book of Romeros so we know how to breed.
