Snow Geese Everywhere
Okay guys I got a question. Ducks&Hogs said that if anyone wants to hunt then they needs to bring something to the spread. Well, some of us don't own goose rags or decoys because we NEVER get them in numbers to even bother with. I think I speak for Left Horn and JT when I say this. Now if you've got a suggestion on what we could all do to help out then let us know, but don't exclude us if we don't have the right equipment. I'm not trying to be a butt here and really am not trying even begin to sound like it, but just wanted to get a little calrification on the subject.
One other stupid thing to ask--what are we going to use for camo. I've seen where guys lay on the ground and cover with hay, weeds, stalks or whatever. Just asking so that we could know what to expect.
Again, I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers just stating a question.
Looking really forward to this.

If you can't bring dekes....bring sausage and biscuits! Hehe.
Most folks lay on the ground in white parkas in the dekes, but I'm by no means a snow pro, so don't take my advice as tried and proven tactic.

Alot of guys have layout blinds. In the past if I hunted a field like that I would just lay down with something between me and the ground and my backpack for a pillow. Then put some grass/corn stalks/WTF ever I could over me. But that is from a po mans prostective.
Now you're talking guys--I'm sure I could rustle up some flat-heads etc.! As far as being experts--you two just told me more than I knew so that makes you twice as smart as me when it comes to hunting geese
Looking forward to it. Happy Holidays to all.

went this morning. Twenty-five Snows,Ross, and specks. Need LOTS of rags and shells. Wingman is right on hiding the hunters. bring a finisher blind to the hunt and your not as big a liability. Lots of rags as in 1000. Not hard to put out with that many hands (6-8). FYI. Good luck cause its lots of fun

That is 6-8 sets of hands. And that it is lots of fun. The white painters suits or a good deal. Once again, "KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN." Big bullets, Watch out for fallin gooses. Guy got hit this morning by a blue. Flattened him out.

Some guys I know that I've hunted with in past all wear oversized white lab coats and kneel in the decoy spread. Doesn't seem to bother the geese one bit and they routinely kill high numbers of birds.
Food for thought...

Wingman, if you are serious about locating some geese, I've got access to about 1200 Northwind snow dekes. The best way to hunt 'em is just like ducks. BE WHERE THEY WANT TO BE!!! All that calling in the videos is just for show. Now E-callers are a different story!! There ain't nothing like laying in the mud and having 5-7000 snows tornadoing over you and crapping so much it feels like rain. Speaking of which, a good cheap rainsuit(disposable) is a good idea if you really get into 'em.

Whadaya mean, "if I'm serious"??? I've been riding around the last 4 days watching flock after flock of those white suckers. They've been up here for almost 2 months.
And just about the time I think I have them figured out, after watching them in the same field morning and evening for 3 days, and move in to shoot some specks, they up and change fields on me over night. For the love of Pete! I guess they ate the last bean yesterday and unanimously voted to change fields.
